Kim is an experienced nurse and healthcare leader dedicated to advancing primary care. Working both in Australia and internationally, with expertise in workforce development, innovation, finance and governance, I am committed to strengthening nursing leadership and improving healthcare outcomes.
With over 35 years in primary and secondary healthcare, her passion for preventing illness and promoting community wellbeing has shaped her career. In 2015, she was named Australian Primary Health Care Nurse of the Year by APNA for leadership and contributions to the sector.
Kim led the development of digital tools, including BERTIE for the Victorian PHN Alliance—now hosted by the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission—and Accelerate QI, a quality improvement tool and resource. I have served as a director of The Practice Excellence Institute, supporting clinical excellence through innovation and collaboration.
She successfully completed her NBME exams for international endorsement of her coaching qualifications. In addition, she is training Health Professionals across Australia in the Health Care home trial, readiness projects, and Quality Improvement strategies.
She regularly presents at National conferences as a keynote speaker on Change Management, Teaming, Coaching, Chronic Disease management, Creating Efficiency in General Practice and Care Co-ordination. Through her business MediCoach Kim mentor’s nurses and organisations to achieve their best, ensuring they are resilient in the changing health landscape.
